Recess
It's a show about kids in school during recess.
Yup, the show centers around kids playing at recess. Just recess. They're never at home or in class just at recess.
Lame.
Sure they have some great episodes with fun things happening but the fact they're only seen at recess limits the stories.
It would be like writing a blog and only talking about one thing, like movies or games or TV... oh wait.
Forget that last line.
The show is good but its limitations can be irritating.
Then I heard about a show called The Weekenders about kids during the weekend and well I never watched it!

I like that you actually choose bad and good shows, about a blog being only one thing.. If a blog is every thing, it can't focus enough time on one thing to be the best at it, since it would have a lot of things, all of them would be average or below average, leading to people choosing other, maybe smaller but higher quality blogs for the separate subjects, keep doing what you do and don't worry :).
ReplyDeleteI only remember one episode. The kid in the red cap gets put in detention and he has to sit in a white box outlined in the playground and he isn't allowed to move.
ReplyDeleteNothing but recess! I should've went to that school as a kid!
ReplyDeleteI liked Recess, usually it escaped the playground as well, but yes the majority of it was dealt with there, and it could kind of limit it.
ReplyDeleteI loved Recess as a kid! I'd probably still watch it now...
ReplyDeleteI agree about the limitations being irritating but I was a huge fan of Recess and I'm sure they did show them at home and after school occasionally at least though it was mainly centred on Recess. The Weekenders was cool too. Later days!
ReplyDeletewhy the hell are you watching kids shows
ReplyDeletegreat,now i have a flashback of a show that wasn't really good.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty terrible. Perhaps if they made fun of every racial stereotype it would be a bit better hahaha it looks like a benetton comercial.
ReplyDeleteOne of those shows is enough, now two of them is too much.
I liked the movie and as a kid this was my favorite show! How dare you saying it's lame :D
ReplyDeletecool I guess.
ReplyDeletei used to love watching recess
ReplyDeletenice post!
ReplyDeleteYou know, for a kids show it was surprisingly alright.
ReplyDeleteI remember this show as a kid, it was ok.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you remembered I liked the number 4. :P
Nostalgia overload, I had totally forgotten about this show.
ReplyDeletenever seen this one befoer
ReplyDeletenever heard of it
ReplyDelete"The Weekenders" is like the junior high version of "Recess". "Hey, Arnold!" trumps them all.
ReplyDeleteI loved that show!
ReplyDeleteRecess was an okay show. Terrible art design though
ReplyDeletesweet, sweet childhood memories.... :'D
ReplyDeleteWrite a post about rocko modern's life!
ReplyDeleteI barely remember this show. D:
ReplyDeleteI don't remember this show, but it really does seem lame..but criteria is much higher now, maybe I would like it back than
ReplyDeletenow i am sad.. as a kid i never had weekends, they died in my fathers car.
ReplyDeleteNever seen this!
ReplyDeleteI must admit I loved that show.
ReplyDeletenever watched this show, I was a bit too old for cartoons when it was on
ReplyDeleteI remember watching Recess!
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad is pretty lame too. They just cook meth, they never cook soup or fish... how limiting.
ReplyDeleteI never really watched this show. I was getting older and wasting time with other crap probably. Strange though, I know so much about it because people I know all rant about it.
ReplyDeleteNever watched this one. thanks for saving it for me. I had it queued on my net flix.
ReplyDeletea3
I never watched Recess on Disney Channel because I prefer watching Nickleodeon or Cartoon Network.
ReplyDeleteI caught a few episodes of this. it's not bad
ReplyDeleteAh, Recess, one of the cornerstones of childhood, and my first real insight into Americanisms. It wasn't fantastic, but it always seemed to be on. It seemed to be pretty creepy and surreal at the time, like a lot of nineties cartoons.
ReplyDeleteHaha I remember both of those shows.
ReplyDeleteI liked Recess, but Weekenders trumped the show! It was smart, funny, and dealt with real life issues.
ReplyDeleteYou have so much great stuff here, I can't keep up :P
