Sorry I wasn't around last week, I was working on some videos. I'm gonna start posting videos on Thursday each week and blogging about whatever every Tuesday. (Cause I don't have any old videos to fill this void like I use too!)
Quick question, there no longer seems to be a "follow" button at the top of peoples blog pages... how do I follow blogs? do I have to use the google friend connect thing?
So that's it for now, keep on blogging in the free world!

ReplyDeleteYou can follow blogs by clicking the "Join this site" tab above the 'Members' area. Just make sure you are following with your Blogger account and not your Google account which seemed to be my problem.
Hmm, now that you mention it I don't see a subscribe link on your blog either. I do see the google friend connect thing that I was forced off of by the man.

I could have sworn a while back that they were getting rid of Google Friend Connect but now it's being used for simple following which is annoying in my opinion.

I always use Google Friend Connect if that's available on a blog. If it isn't, then I just go to my own dashboard, hit "add" on my blog reader list and manually type in the blog's url where indicated. Then Blogger adds it to my blog reader.

Nice page views there my friend. Especially with how many views each individual post gets. Of course titties was at the top. By such a huge margin though I didn't quite foresee that. To add a blog you do it from the reading list now. There's a big orange button that says "add blog". What this means though is that there is now no way to unfollow blogs. As far as I know.
ReplyDeleteTo unfollow a blog you click the Gear icon on the upper right of the Reading List and go to Settings for each blog. The pop-up window has a "Stop following this site" link.
DeleteHuh. I never used that anyway. Well, without that Follow button and without the [Join This Site] "Google Friend Connect" thing I'd say all you have left is to copy the blog's url and Add it to your Reading List manually.

ReplyDeleteYou deserve more like 18 million views in my opinion. Or heck..you deserve 18 gorillion. Go to google.com/reader (when you are logged in) and you click on subscribe and can sub to any blog on that internet in that way. Not all blogs have the google friend gadget on them, so that's how you would follow their blog if you can't find the gadget. But, adding someone to google reader, or adding them with the google friend connect gadget does exactly the same thing anywho, so however you prefer to do it.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm thinking of getting rid of the blogger header now. It's useless if it doesn't let you subscribe. And yes, the google friend connect or the rss work fine. It's not that hard, it's made pretty easy for you.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why Blogger did away with the "follow" option at the top of the page - idiots. But now, after reading Chiz's account, I can see why some of the people I tried to follow aren't showing up in my blog roll...damn these people for making things more complicated!!
