Hi! I'm Bersercules, the Berserk Herc! And today I have a video review of the first episode of the Bibleman show! Be afraid, be very afraid!

Enjoy!

  1. "I've come to kick ass and hand out Bibles, and I'm all out of Bibles." Hilarious. Made me laugh out loud. I love that you actually acted it out. And your Bibleman costume... epic. So much better than the real Bibleman's styrofoam costume. I bet he could get hit by a plastic spoon and go unconscious.

  6. LOL oh my god, how did that show ever make it past the first episode, the others were horrible, but this just takes the cake, blah is the only word I have.

  7. Your Bibleman is way better than the original and you didn't need to do any singing or dancing. Nor did you need any goofy techno graphics. Their costume team needs to be fired!

  8. What a great song.... NOT. And that guy is thanking the Lord for the children's desire to be used by Him? Good question: why are those preaching girs sticking their butts out hahaha.

  9. LOL Imagine if he had to say that every time he wanted to transform ANDDD the effect only lasted 10 minutes. God's way of trolling Bibleman.

  10. This is the first episode? I thought the one with all the singing and dancing kids was the first one. I might be getting it confused with EVERY episode. I mean specifically the one with the Fibbler.

I hope this is the pilot. Things actually seemed to change between this and the rest of the series. Miles was a lot less pathetic and comedic. Unless you didn't show those bits. That guy has the lamest origin story EVER. Though you looked badass in your home made Bibleman costume and the evil villain. HOLY SHIT his costume was...SHIT. If God is all powerful why didn't he give him a better outfit? It's also odd that he speaks in something other than scriptures. WAIT WHAT? I think God just magically imprisoning the villain might actually have been what happened. Good false idol reference. I was going to mention it if you didn't. That kid wasn't such a bad dancer. If Bibleman had started singing that would have been it for me. My brain would have exploded. I knew it wouldn't take him long to start quoting scripture. Damn I hope the abyss doesn't sing. I really do.

I'd buy a shirt that says "Say no to bad comedy" on it.

    1. The Six Lies of the Fibbler was the earliest episode I had, looking on youtube I have found two episodes that pre-date it! This one (from 1995) and another called Silencing the Gossip Queen, which I will review some time over the coming months, I'm trying to space them out now... I almost put out three Bibleman reviews in a row!! and hopefully by the time I've done that review someone will have put other episodes of Bibleman on the internet for me to use!

Yeah I think this is like a pilot episode, its certainly lame and amiturish enough to be a more poorly done pilot then the Justice League of America pilot was!!

Miles is really different in this one from the others! He never does slapstick comedy again but in ones with Coats he and Coats make jokes about things together!

Glad you liked my Bibleman costume!

Did you see the fake missing half ear on the Bibleman costume? Creepy!

I guess Gods final test to Bibleman is seeing if he can handle that costume!

Yep, God does Biblemans work for him!

I think one thing that will never change with Bibleman is his scripture quoting!

Hmmm, I should make Berserk Herc Shirts!

  11. What a great costume! You should be the real Bibleman, not that schmuck! You sir, are quite the funny man! "I've come to kick ass and hand out bibles, and I'm all out of bibles." That line...priceless!

  12. I use to say "I hate when that happens" all the time. I guess I said it too much because this pretty girl, who for some reason, used to eat lunch with me at work, would start to get aggravated, and say stuff to me like, "Let me guess..do you hate when that happens??" in a bitchy tone. Long story short, she ended up breaking my heart, and then I sunk into a depression for about 2 years. I will blame Bibleman for starting that stupid "I hate when that happens" craze, and causing me all this grief! Damn him anyway! Well, what a disappointing episode with the kids dancing around, and singing all the songs that were rejected for the Barney the Dinosaur Soundtrack. I didn't think it was possible that the show would get any worse from what we have seen, but I guess it did. (Disclaimer: Willie Aames if you are reading this, I respect you as an actor AND your Christian belief system, and support your right to express your religious convictions in any way you see fit. Also, you deserved an emmy for your work on "Charles in Charge.")

  13. This show would be great minus the intro, song & and bibleman all together. Atleast he sports the lakers colors

  14. Absolutely brilliant as always. Your reenactments are so much better than the show itself. You show character while all the characters on the show sound like they're pitching an infomercial.

"I hate when that happens." "Then stop doing it!" Bah, I died laughing and went to hell, but it was worth it.

  15. Your Bibleman is the best Bibleman. I would dress up as that.

That show is so terrible LOL you must be a god to be able to watch more than one episode of that. Make a book now and call it Bersercules's Bibleman Bibleman Bible

  16. Loled at B&B plastic spoon comment. :)

Agree with your costume argument, bible as helmet or headlight torch seems more sensible and acceptable than the yellow-purple costume combo. This show totally sounds like slow death. Instead of grounding my kids, I would make them watch this show repeatedly. That blue shirt kid - I pity him, he would make a fine Kevin Bacon-Footloose guy .
Reading Bible is the best way to start your day? Where in graveyard?

  17. Yeaaaaah, why does Bibleman spend so much time with children?

  18. you could probably make better bibleman episodes than the people who actually make it

  19. Oh man I almost forgot about Bibleman. You ripped the show apart, but in the best way possible. I found myself laughing uncontrollably several times

  20. Oh good lord. What monstrosity is this?

Firstly, the kids song (if you'd like to call it that) was beyond pathetic. If I had to guess what Chewbacca fucking a dinosaur sounded like, they would have been pretty damn close.

Secondly, biblemans outift was almost as bad as the song (almost. hard to be worse than a song that is comparable to a blind mans taste in fashion!) But still, it was pretty damn horrible!

And thirdly, he seems obsessed with those children. And its unnerving. I mean, seriously, since when did the definition "superhero" double as "pedophile" ? Someone please explain this to me.

Personally, I think that you did a lot better. In about twenty seconds, you proved yourself more capable of producing an entertaining show then the entire bibleman cohort.

    Just sayin'

    1. Awesome comment! Chewbacca f*cking a dinosuar! Thats the perfect analogy! Now I'll never hear kids singing again with out thinking of Chewbacca doing a dinosaur!

Yeah Superhero and pedophile seem to be close together! Funny you should mention that too, next week my review will be something from the 1940's that has a creepy superhero hanging out with small kids!!

I'd be complemented by your comment about me being better then the Bibleman show, if the Bibleman show wasn't so gosh darn terrible! Just kidding, thanks for the complement!

  21. Actually, great ep and all, but I think the religion bashing got a little lame here. Some moments were deserved, but other parts were just like "aaight, you don't like religion here and you're making it obvious". Maybe it was just me, it could be.

Also bibleman's starter costume made me lol.

    1. I think it might be you. I bashed religion only when it came up in this episode. In earlier Bibleman reviews I brought it up extra times, but this time I actaully cut back on the comments cause I thought they were getting old!

But then again this one had more too it. Especially Bibleman never explaining how he got out of his difficult situation. And the Bibleman Bible. That, even if you are religous, you gotta admit its pretty blasphemis!

  22. I may have spat out a mouthful of coke when I heard your "... and I'm all out of bibles" line. My keyboard is all sticky now, but it was totally worth it. No regrets.

  23. All of this Bibleman is scaring me.
This episode had too many children singing. That sounds very frightening to me. When children sing, nothing good comes of it. Don't you remember Nightmare on Elm Street?
