Hiatus

Hi! I'm Bersercules, the Berserk Herc! (But you already knew that!) I said recently that I was gonna be posting two videos a week and blogging every weekday... but, well, I'm not gonna be able to do that. Sorry!

Right now I am thinking of starting my own business (a secondhand/thrift store) and am spending most of my free time reading up on how to start a business and planing out all the details and supplies I'd need to get it ready.

So I'm putting blogging on the back burner for now. So I can focus on setting up a life for myself, and getting a job that (hopefully) will last a life time! So I won't be blogging for the foreseeable future. I might stop by your blogs occationally, but I will be really busy so I may not get the chance. And yes I will miss reading all your blogs daily!

PS If you know anything about starting a business please let me know!

PPS If you have extra money and would like to invest in a business, please let me know!

PPPS If you're an uber-millionaire and wanna throw you're money around, please let me know!

  1. I don't have much in the way of money. Can you put my well wishes into building your business? I hope this endeavour pays off for you.

Incidentally, have you thought of a name for your store? Perhaps you could call it Hardcore Pawn.

    1. Thanks for the support! In a world where everyone liked to have a good laugh, I'd name it Hardcore Pawn! But there are too many fuddy duddys out there! So I'll have to go with a lamer name!

  2. Well blogging does have to take a back seat to life, starting up a business is a ton of work, good luck with it!

PPPPPS: I wish I was an uber millionare

  3. I'm excited for you, Berserk! If I were an uber millionaire, I'd set you up right but then you'd have to have a turtle somewhere in the logo...

Best of luck to you and I'll miss hearing WTF. I guess I'll have to hit up your archives every so often.

    1. Thanks for the support! And if you set me up with money for my business, I'd dress up everyday as a turtle!!

  4. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. I think you could have been big on youtube once you got the exposure. A lot of people make a lot of money making videos. You were one of my favorites, up there with Dax Flame and Boxxy. This is sad news for your fans, but I guess good news for you. I hope you reconsider and still make videos, but like I said, you gotta do what you gotta do. (Sorry, I am not an investing millionaire, as you probably have guessed.)

    1. With two and a half years of making YouTube videos, I don't think I'll ever make it! But once my business is up and running (and doesn't fail!) I'll go back to blogging daily! I might work on finishing some of the reviews I've half done, to keep my mind sharp and focused, so I might be able to throw a few on sometime in the insuing month/s.

Again I'll say it! I will go back to making videos! I love making videos more then almost anything else.

    2. Welp, Bersercules,... I think the reason people have not been finding your videos is because you review very obscure movies no one has heard of. No one is searching for them, so there is no opportunity to run into your videos. Occasionally, you should lambaste a really popular movie or series. For example, I would love to hear your take on "Twilight" (as painful as that may sound to your ears). Anywho, I hope that you become super successful at your business, so successful, that you have lots of time to go back to making videos. In the meantime, I will pray for your return, somewhat like Bart and Lisa Simpson prayed for the return of Krusty the Clown....but different.

    3. You're right, I should do more popular shows or movies! And maybe one day I will! (But honestly I've never even seen Twilight!!) And I will return... someday! I have a bunch of almost completed reviews so I might get around to finishing those some day!

  5. Wow,as you know I love your videos and reviews and blog and I'm going to miss you dropping in all the time but like everyone else says blogging can and should take a back seat to a real life endeavour such as this so good luck mate!

What upsets me is when people quit and they don't leave their blogs open for a return. Like fair enough they want to do other things but to deprive us of awesome content, while their own choice isn't fair so I'm glad you're keeping everything open. I know nothing about business but if you're as good at it as you are at entertaining and being a general all round good guy then you're going to be one of those millionaires you mentioned in no time!

  8. I shall miss you my Evil Nemesis. I feckin' hate it when you're gone. Seriously I bloody well hate it. Dammit, you're financial well-being isn't as important as my happiness. So feck the business, stay and play with me.

I'm just kidding (not really). I give you my best wishes and hopes for success. It's tough out there trying to earn a living. Live long and prosper!!!

  9. Say it isn't so :( But, I am proud of you. I wish you nothing but the best of luck with that. I don't really have any tips (or money) for you I'm afraid, but something some people do is looking at ebay for things they can buy really cheap, and then sell on at a higher price.

    1. Thanks for the support! And the ebay idea is a good one I'll have to look it to it! I was also thinking of paying people in other countries money to buy local goods and send them to me so I could have cool knick knacks from all over the world in my store!!

  14. A new business! How exciting! I'm afraid I'm useless for advice as I've always worked in an office (except for that brief stint as Santas photographer), but I am a finance officer so I can say with some certainty that you want to aim for more money coming in than going out.

  19. Well. I don't have any money to invest in a business. Nor am I an uber-millionaire with money to toss around. I'm sorry, I can't help you on that front.

So you're probably wondering what the hell I'm trying to get at then.

What I can offer you is best wishes, lots and lots of good vibes being directed your way, and some crossed fingers. Good luck out there!!

  20. I hope you still post occasionally! I shall miss you terribly.

Good luck with starting up your thrift shop. I don't know much about starting a business, but location is incredibly important! I would maybe try and find a spot where there are some similar shops (as far as what they're selling) but no other second hand shops nearby.

    1. I will post more in the distant future, and hopefully some day get back into it!! Thanks for the support and the good advice about location! I'll definitely take that into consideration!
