  1. I love that you kept the headband on, but I don't know if it was for continuity or you just did it all in one shot. I would fucking LOVE to strap a weapon to a dinosaur. The only way it doesn't make sense is that dinosaurs are reptiles and yet they are on both sides (and seem to be slaves to the reptile people). I guess they couldn't show even dinosaurs being shot to death in a kids show, but still said "Hey, lets make a kids show full of lasers and war, where nobody actually gets hit! What could go wrong?"

  2. Wow, this show seems crazy, I think I'm actually a big fan of the reptiles. That hammerhead shark is so funny looking, this show looks awesome. Laughed so much at the headband bit by the way, like raucously.

  3. @R thanks!

@Mark I did it for continuity but I sit on the couch and shot all the bits of me talking in order so all I did was leave it on till I took it off and threw it! (although I filmed the me throughing it off part a few times I used the first take! and yes I film myself multiple times saying the lines till I get it just right!)
Good points on the show, I wouldn't love to strap weapons to dinosaurs but I would like to see some people in a war strap weapons to elephants and rhinos!
Thats one of the funny things about kids shows! They are often about war and fighting but no one gets hurt or dies!

@YeamieWaffles Thanks! Once I thought of wearing the head band I knew it would be great! I knew it would look so silly on me!

  4. Well it's typically known as "The Principle Of Evil Marksmanship" or something like that. In Star Wars the Stormtroopers were elite shooters who made shots no one else could make, but none of them hit anyone! But when even the good guys aren't getting hits in, someone just really sucks. I guess you just don't share my love of dinosaurs and lasers lol.

    ReplyDelete
  5. @Mark The Stormtroopers were elite shooters?! Wow! Thats funny to think when you watch them miss all the time in the movies!
I don't share your love of dinosaurs right now cause I just watched a documentary showing that the dinosaurs might have been covered in bright coloured feathers! So now I just don't know what to think!
All this talk of no one hitting anyone in a gun fight has reminded me of the naked gun movies with that one gun fight where they're behind barrels right next to eachother firing at each other!
Also has made me think of the cartoon Conan the Adventurer that did a good job of manipulating the plot so the non violence would make sense! The main characters had weapons made of special "star metal" and when ever they were close to the evil lizard men who would be disguised as humans their magical disquise would disappear and when they got touched my the star metal weapons a portal would open above them and they'd be sent back to there own dimention!
Wow I'm kind of off topic now and this response is longer then one of your short posts! Which we both know is saying some things cause your short posts can be longer then your long posts!
Now heres the first paragraph of Herman Melvilles classic book Moby Dick!:
Call me Ishmael. Some years ago - never mind how long precisely - having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen, and regulating the circulation. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me.

  6. The stormtroopers took out all the Jedi, these were people who could deflect lasers, they had to be pretty good shots lol. I kinda remember that but it's been too long since I've seen Naked Gun. I've never read Moby Dick either but that's a good start to a story. That does kind of make sense, having magical swords that open a portal to send their enemies home, but it's still quite a bad copout. If I had a kids show everybody would die. It would be one episode long, and all the deaths would happen right at the end, and I wouldn't include it in any previews at all so no one knew it was going to happen.

    I'm a completely normal person.

  7. @Mark Your idea for a kids show reminded me of the first season of the TV show BlackAdder! Although not a childrens show I'd show it to my kids (if they existed!)

As a kid I wished characters would die. If a show shows death it puts the shows reality in a more realistic context. It makes the other characters who survive seem tougher too! (although killing them all off is good to!)
When I was a kid I thought it would be cool to write a story that when ever a character faced danger/posibledeath I would roll a six sided die to see if they survive! (one is death two and three is hurt but survive and four to six is survive!) but I never got around to writing it.

I'm not even remotely a normal person.

  8. hahahaha you look like your ready to go all John Travolta in one of those dancing movies he used to do, either that or a weird gym class..haha

    ReplyDelete
  9. You like Blackadder too? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU YEAH YOU'RE AWESOME. That's a pretty good way to decide, it might even be what God uses lol. I'd like to see random people die at least, even if main characters don't. Doctor Who is regarded as a kids show, or at least kid friendly (most of the time) but people die all the freakin time in that.

    ReplyDelete
  10. @Pat Hatt If I ever decide to break out in dance I will wear that head band!

@Mark You like BlackAdder too? WEEEeeeeeeeee You to are awesome!

If you are serious about watching a TV show where random people die, you should watch the prison drama OZ. It is my all time favorite show. I own them all on DVD and watch the whole show (all six seasons) once a year! It is always exiting and realistic!
In it their are so many charaters you can never tell who will die! Main characters may live till the end or die some time during the show, characters are introuduced and become main characters for years then die, minor charaters die or become more relivent characters then die! The show is all over the place!
Not that the show is only about death, its about the prisoners lives and how they deal with things and the world they live in. Some times no one dies in an episode (maybe not actually sure they all end up blending in to one episode when you watch them over a week period while playing video games) and sometimes a character surviving is worse then if he'd died!
Oh and if that wasn't enough to get you interested theres often nudity too! Lots of naked breasts and sexy girl ass!.... oh and lots of guys cocks too. Naked shower scenes (with all guys), guys naked in solitary confinement, guys whipping out their dicks at girls and one time a guy bends over and shows another guy his anus!
    I'll stop on that point.

I've only seen the first few episodes of Doctor Who (from 1963) But I might have to check out the newer ones someday!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm British, Blackadder is in my blood. You sure know what I want from a show lol. Maybe I'll check it out. I'm re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-watching the newer series of Doctor Who, and I'm already near the end, I'll need something to watch. I'm tempted to watch the older older ones, and have found some sources that have them, but there are so many. So so many. Plus I don't know if I'll be able to get over the black and white and bad/cheesy effects. I don't like that I'm that superficial, but I am, and I have to live with that. Having said that I think it takes more than effects to make something good. If they have fantastic stories (and I'm assured they do) I'll be able to get over it.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Cool video as usual!

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Mark I'm british on my dads side so Monty Pythons Flying Circus is in my blood!
The Doctor Who episodes I've seen are the first few episodes (I bought on DVD) and though the effects are old the story is mostly character driven so there arn't lots of effects. But the storys may seem silly. After the initial story of some teachers finding out about the doctor and getting in the tardis they all are lost in time and space and the second story is them on prehistoric earth and having to deal with cavemen and there weird sociaty.... eventually they meet the dialics too but thats a different story! So yeah you might not like the old episodes. I personally love black and white more then colour!
So whats it like being superficial? How exactly are you superficial?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well by not really wanting to watch or play something because it's old/black and white/has bad effects, I'm being pretty superficial. I'm saying it has to look good for me to want to do it, which also makes me a hypocrite because like I said, it takes more than looking good for something to be good. Too many games and movies these days rely on looking good, story has taken a back seat to art. I hate that culture and yet I seem to be part of it. Back in the day before super fabulous effects people focused more on story, on character, and things were usually better.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @GT thanks!

@Mark So your a hipacrate? Cool! Well knowing you have a problem is the first part to fixing the problem!
Also many old movies are just bad! There are some great old black and white films out there! The Seven Samurai springs to mind! It looks good has great costumes great story and awesome fight scenes!

    ReplyDelete
  16. lol I'm a hypocrite in several regards. Maybe I'll fix it one day but it's who I am. I can either live with it, or fix it. Or just keep bitching about it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Mark Bitching about it is the first step! Your well on your way! A few more years of bitching and you'll be on to step two!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Isn't step two a few years of drinking my problems away?

    ReplyDelete
  19. That headband truly is crime against fashion :P

    ReplyDelete
  20. @Mark You'll find out in a few years...

    @Gizmo I know! I'm a hardend fashion criminal!

    ReplyDelete
  21. @My 2 Pesos Thanks! I appreciate that!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Interwebs Fails Right back at you!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love dinosaurs and I love lasers, but this is just ridiculous! I probably would have liked this show if only they are actually hitting each other or something.

    ReplyDelete
  24. This was so funny. I guess I don't understand the finer points of shooting at dinosaurs while riding on dinosaurs either...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I was reading your and Marks comments. I'm Irish and love Black Adder and Python and Dr. Who I have the entire series of the shows on DVD. Have you seen The Young Ones? If you haven't, you should check it out. Hey, I'm going to subscribe to your YouTube channel so it'll be easier for me to comment and favorite when you post a new video.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Dunno man, they're just awesome dinosaurs with silly humans operating them. Humans are always silly so it COULD'VE been a legit show.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now, I suddenly realize where Dino D-Day idea come from.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think this show as before my time and yet, I bet if we marketed something similar to kids today it would also be popular.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is one of those TV shows from childhood that I loved, which just kind of fell off the face of the earth after cancellation. Man, I'm going to have to go raid my parents' basement and see if I can excavate any of those old dino toys.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Lord Phrozen I agree! It would be great if they could hit eachother or at least something!

    @heddin 100% correct!

@Lot's Wife I'm glad you liked it!

@Anne I have seen the Young Ones! Its a great show! I knew about it before I knew about BlackAdder or Dr. Who! Have you ever seen the TV show Bottom? Its by two of the guys from the Young Ones and is very funny!
Thanks for subscribing to my channel! I in turn subscribed to your channel!

@D4 Oh I agree take away the humans and just have dinos with lazers fighting and it would be epic! (I recall a show called the Terible Thunder Lizards!)

@R.gers Now you know and knowing is half the battle.

    @Shaw I concur!

@DWei Dinosaurs (like headbands) never seem to go out of fashion!

    @Jazz bazooka thank you!

@A Beer for the Shower I know what you meen! I had some of the toys and the video game and after a few months of getting them the toys where off the shclves and I never got more or heard of anyone getting any more toys. I got ride of my toys years ago with out thinking about the show and was only reminded when I found the tape of the show in my garage!

  33. I fucking loved that tv show, I used to do Lego structures and put them in the top of toy dinosaurs and spend all the afternoon playing with it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Bart Be thankful!

@Lizardmannnn Thanks! And I just did!

@Orang3 That sounds like a fun way to play lego! I never did that but now I wish I had!

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Mark: I'd say they only took down laser-deflecting Jedi by quantity of fire, not marksmanship.

The headband bit was hilarious. Almost as hilarious as a battle plan that involves domesticating giant reptiles and arming them for battle. Almost.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @Henry I knew I looked funny in the headband but I didn't realize I looked that funny! Thanks for the heads up!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love Bottom. We have that collection on CD as well. They did a live stage tour and you can find it on YouTube. It's great because you get to see them mess each other up on stage. Have you heard of Mr.s Browns Boys yet. It's from Ireland and it's new. It's up for a BAFTA already.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The effect can be accounted for by its interested for us so much

  39. Lol, great review! cool headband too btw ;)

  40. I remember Dino Raiders series and to be honest I liked it at that time ,I even have Dino raiders toys .
PS: cool head band + thumbs up for video

    ReplyDelete
  41. Do you have the whole series or just the first episode? I'm kinda curious to how the series will end, considering that they dismantled their spaceship to create those dinosaur attachments.

Hopefully, blogger doesn't mark this as spam too.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Anne I have seen many of there stage shows on YouTube! I have heard of five and seen three of them so far! (I'm saving the other two for a rainny day!) My favorite parts of the stage shows are them messing up their lines and insulting eachother! And it the second show where Ric is suppose to fake hit Ed and actually hurts him is great! And when Ed adlibs an anograme from the words Oxford United!
I'll definitly have to check out Mrs. Browns Boys! We seem to have the same taste in TV shows!

@Lexsa You are correct in as far as your correctness attends to!

@Simon black Thanks! I'm glad you liked my review!

@GADAFINY I loved it as a kid too! Although I only saw that one episode! Thanks for the thumbs up!

@Lord Phrozen I only have the first episode on tape but as I searched for a copy of it on the internet to use in my video review I found that YouTube has lots of the episodes on it! I have never seen anyother episodes myself but I might have to check them out and posible talk about them one day!
Blogger didn't mark you post as spam this time!

@Natural One I never thought of it that way! Your right! They wouldn't have the oil to run the machines if they built them! I guess the dinosaurs are a good idea!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mayall and Edmondson did another one together "Filthy Rich and Catflap" I've only seen 2 of them, not as good as Bottom and The Young Ones though. Have you seen Red Dwarf?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha good review. Remember reading your written one.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh god that one guy looks like He-man, and I can only think of the meme video where he sings "What's Up."

    ReplyDelete
  46. My headbands are totally not that cool.

    ReplyDelete
  47. nice review thank for share

    ReplyDelete
  48. @natural one, that is a solid point, though I don't know that they used oil in their space ships, so maybe that had moved past petroleum.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Anne I seen scenes of Filthy Rich and Catflap and it was okay. And yes!! I've seen Red Dwarf! Its tied as my favorite comedy show (with Bottom!)

    @Kwile Glad you enjoyed it!

@the Rambler Your right he does look like He-Man!

@Heaven. I doubt that! You probably have cool headbands!

@2Peeeps Health and Fitness Thanks for the complement!

@convictus I think your right I think there ships were run on crystals.

@Poetry of the Day He does have a good point!

    ReplyDelete
  50. i've never worn a headband in my life lol probably should spend more time in the gym

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Electric Addict You don't need to go into a gym to wear a headband! I wore one and I've never been in a gym!
